Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

My Brunette Twin

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 28: 16-20
This is Tori.
Tori has been my best friend since I was 5 years old.
Soon, Tori will be a missionary and travel all over the world.
God speaks to Tori and tells her that one day she will go to far off lands and tell other people about Him.
She says, "Okay Papa, Your will be done".
Tori is brave.
I love Tori.
I want to be like Tori.
But that's no surprise, I've wanted to be like her ever since the first time I met her.
Please pray for Tori, she's growing up and sometimes growing up can be hard.
I love Tori.

Farm Randomness

Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.

I said to the Lord, "You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing."

As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.

The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.

Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure.

The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.

I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.

I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,

because You will not let your Holy One see decay.

You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.

5 Things You Need to Love With Me This Week :)

Okay, so I'm pretty much loving my week. Besides the fact that my mother who is now 47 has come down with a stomach bug, my week has been just peachy. So far. :]

1. Elvis. I mean really? Who wouldn't love this face? You would have to be without a soul...erm, heart, to not love this big orange waddle. :)

2. Jeremy Camp's new cd: WE CRY OUT.
Lovelovelovelovelove. One of the best worship albums of the year, in my humble opinion. You should seriously check it out.

3. TOMS FOR WINTER! Some random person out there in the blogosphere give an applause for my amazing grandmother who said she would get these for me. YAY FOR ALL OF THE GIVING GRANDMOTHERS!

4. Grilled Chicken. Nothing else needs to be said about this. I just love it that much. Okay, or I'm having major writers block and I can't think of anything else to say. Find amazing marinade recipe below *insert lovely red heart here*

5. Email. Who invented this? Please tell me. Well, whatever genius did, THANKS. I'm loving it this week. :)

Laura's Shamazinggg Chicken Marinade:

  • 1.5 Cups of Canola/Vegetable Oil
  • 1/3 Cup of Fine Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1/3 Cup of Lemon Juice
  • 4 TBS of Worcestershire Sauce (am I the only one who finds this a hard word to spell?!?!)
  • 3 TBS of Stone Ground Mustard
  • Salt, Pepper, and Garlic to taste. (If you are a true Southerner, you will add generous portions of all three of these.)

Marinate for up to 24 hours and at least 3 hours. :)

Those Long Summer Days...

That we all love (okay, it's more of a bittersweet, love/hate relationship) are quickly coming to an end, and soon the days filled with the sound of pencils being sharpened, pages turned, and me crying because I can't get through Algebra 2 are decending upon us. Yay.

I started school yesterday. Yes, I know, Saturday. Why on EARTH start school on Saturday you ask? I like to get school done with, okay? I like to learn pretty much everything but math...and math...and math. And *sob* MATH. Ugh. Can we just dispose of this subject please? I mean, it's not like we use it everyday or something. I think everyone needs to drop math and take Equine Science...or Photography 101...you know, the stuff that we use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Really, I think it's a fantastical plan. Let's do it.

Okay, maybe we do use math sometimes....alrighty then, we use math for EVERYTHING. *CRY*

My rant of the week: I pretty much...........am horrible at math. Anyone tutor for free? Yeah, I didn't think so.

On a lighter subject, I got home yesterday from spending several wonderful days with some *amazing* friends down in Atlanta whom I absolutely love/adore/love/adore. :]

But, I am happy to be home and with my family. And my bed, *sigh* I love my bed.

Everybody out there who loves their bed, raise your hand.

Well, I hope you have all had a fantastic week, I know I sure did.

:)

Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.

Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.
