Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

As of late, I find my thoughts continuously drifting across the sea to Africa, and when they do, I think of every little thing that I take for granted in life. Food, shoes, clothes, soap, a house, a goose down comforter, a bathroom, plenty of transportation. I think about how so many people in this country starve themselves to look the part, and how so many people in Africa die of starvation because they don't have the choice. I stumbled across this video awhile back, and was extremely touched by it. I hope that as you watch it, the Lord will speak to your heart.

More Writing...

In response to the delightfully unexpected comments on my writing, I have decided to post more! If you feel the Lord urging you to comment, please do, it is very refreshing! ;)

I am Weak. Dying, but still breathing.

I am nothing but a spark in the fire of life, a ripple in the ocean of time.

Morbid am I, dying, but still breathing.

I have escaped the fires of Your Love and Justice, but escaped only to be branded by Your Holy Insignia, the Mark of the Lion, the Hole in the Wrist.

Sickly am I, dying, but still breathing.

My heart still beats because Your sacred lips spoke it. Because Your Holy Spirit Still breaths it, You will not let me go.

I cling to You, only to fall and run. To make a prostitute of myself. Yet you stop me in the path of my destruction, and proclaim Your Everlasting Love to me.

Oh, my sin, you destroy me, but His Holy Redemption is on the horizon.

It glows so that my eyes are forced to shut, my knees are pulled to the ground, my head touches the dirt, and my hands go up in humble reverence, worshipping the Son of Justice.

Oh, my sin, you are crucified, and I am redeemed.

Oh, morbid is my flesh. Dying, dying, dying.

Oh falling is my shame, oh morbid is my sin.

Yet my Spirit rises from the ground, and takes the Carpenter’s outstretched hand, and He leads me down the path of resurrection.

Oh dying is my sin, oh dying is my flesh, oh dead is my shame. Dying, dying, dying.
Love love love,

Just Some Writing...

Just something that the Lord gave me...

I am drowning, drowning. Engulfed in the sin of this world.
The waves of immorality come gushing over me, stealing my every breath.
I am sinking, sinking. Suffocated by my wretchedness.
Oh, woe is me, this suffering I cannot bear alone.
My heart beats faster as I realize the state of my soul, as my eyes are opened to the wicked deeds of my heart.
My feelings have become numb. I can no longer perceive the pounding beat of my very self.
I long for touch, for feel, for anything that will rescue me from my dilapidating state, from the coma in which I live.

Just as I thought that I could feel the flames of Hell in my lungs, a beam of light drained the ocean of sin that I was drowning in.
A Heavenly being descended from above the dark waves of death, of which were about to become my grave.
Light radiated from His every pore, love was in every move of His beautiful body.
I shut my mortal eyes and wept, for I had never seen anything so magnificent.
He smiled, as only the King of Heaven can, and reached for my ever sinking hand.
He pulled me out of the grips of my despair and wrapped me in a garment of pure white, and with that, lifted me onto His ever sufficient chest.
My body, still sick with the disease of the world, molded into His strong arms.
Never had I felt such remorse for the sins that I had committed toward Him, the One who rescued me from the pit of fire.
He gently rocked me back and forth until me silent sobbing ceased.
And then, he lowered his lips to my ear and whispered, “Daughter, I love you with a love that never fails, My passion for you is everlasting. My daughter, arise and take my outstretched hand, arise, and let me lead you out of the torrent waters of death. Arise, my love, and let me set you free.”
I will be back on Friday! Thought I would leave you all with something to read.
Blessings and Grace,

I Gotta Pocketful of Sunshine

Please don't hit me.

I know, I know, I know. I haven't posted in years. Literally, it has been years, and I wouldn't doubt if you chose never to look at my blog again. I understand. I am a dissapointment to mankind. And, for the record, my writing skills are more than lacking.

BUT. I HAVE AN EXCUSE. (haha, typical) Okay, so about a week ago my mother was being her prototypical self and busted her butt on the, it has been left up to me, the eldest daughter, to take care of things. Of course, I have done a marvelous job (.....kind of). But it has kept me more than busy. While she has been laying on her backside yelling orders throughout the house, I have been cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, juggling school, AND I HAVEN'T SPENT ONE SECOND ON THE COMPUTER. (hehe) Welllll...maybe a minute or so.

Anyways, I am absolutely exuberant about next week. Would you like to know why? Well, I will tell you.

On Monday night, me, my best friend Rachel, Catherine, Rachel's Mimi, her mom, her dad, Catherine's mom, and mine will be traveling down to Atlanta (in a black limo, mind you) to the Fabulous Fox Theater to see Celtic Woman in concert! I am positively blissful.

AND THEN (did you think it could get any better?) me and Rachel will roll ourselves out of bed Tuesday morning and head up to WinterPlace Ski Resort in West Virginia to go skiing! -sigh- I love skiing. I am an absolute wreck on the slopes, but I love it none the less. I believe that it would be a relief to humanity if I would never set foot on skis again, but I must not give up! I just can't force myself to! I would like to think that I look beautiful doing somersaults down the mountain... >.>
Lets imagine this for a second. Me, skiing my way down the mountain, picking up some speed, realize that I am picking up speed, flail my arms wildly, lose full control of my ever falling body, start tumbling embarrassingly down past my friends who are just skiing along brilliantly....You get the picture?

I like the part before the flailing... ^.^

Anywho, I got these amazingly dreamy boots for the trip:

Do these not make your mind go wild? They are the downright epitome of joy. I know, there is jealousy welling up in your heart. But, that is a sin. So, I will now leave you repenting of your misdeed. :D

Love you all!
